Ahipara school camp 2018
the farm
Last week on the 30th of October rooms three and four went to the farm in Whangaruru, at the farm, there are lots of activities like horse riding, motorbike riding, mud run/kayaking, campfire night, waterslide and bush crash. My favorite one was the mud run/kayaking so that’s what I’m going to write about. It was the second day being on the farm and it was Halloween It was the last activity my group was going to do for the day. When we were going to the mud we had to walk through the bush on the way we had to look out for blue dots called on-ons that showed us the way, when we saw one we called out ON-ON and we walked to it. When we got to the mud I was the first one to jump in the mud was about as deep as a small swimming pool and it smelled like rotten eggs, we could throw mud at people but only at their backs. Near the end, there was a small bit of mud called the shoe monster because people always lose their shoes in it, and once again I was the first one in but I went too slow and had to crawl out. Then we had to walk out of the bush to the kayaks when we got there we played around a bit while we waited for the kayakers when they came we started kayaking and washed off most of the mud, the kayaking was tiring but not that hard. When we got back I had a shower straight away and cleaned myself up.

Hello Kaleb,
ReplyDeleteI come from Gisborne which is a small city you may or may not of heard of it. Anyway, did you ride a horse while you where at the farm? Was it fun, scary maybe for the first time? And what about the motorbikes? Were they fun or scary!? I stayed up at a farm for about a week - there were 12 dogs and I even saw a cow that had horns 😂 It wasn't a bull though. I hope the experience was fun and you had a great time!
Thanks Cornelius for your great comment yes I have heard of Gisborne before because I come from Papamoa, Tauranga and over there I had a friend who was from Gisborne his name is Ryan Kingsbeer. Yes I did ride a horse And it wasn't my first time because I own a horse but it was still really fun. I did ride the motorbikes and it was really really fun, it was the first time I had rode a motorbike in a long time. At the farm you went to what were your favorite activities?

Wow that's cool! My favourite activities at the farm I went to where looking after the dogs and puppies. I didn't like to do the dirty work as I hate being dirty, but I chopped down some trees and even helped out on concrete and wrote my name in it. It was a pretty fun experience since I hardly leave my house, It was really cold though since the farm was on a hill and the winds are breezy.
DeleteYeah the the farm that you went to sounds really awesome and I'm sure that I would of had fun as well. I live on a farm so I don't really mind getting dirty. What where the dogs names? How many dogs were there.
DeleteHi Kaleb I like the way you put rugby photos on your blog and I wish I could do that. I also like the photos of you and your friends at camp. I went on camp at the beginning of the year - we went to Tolaga Bay. We went out on this big wharf and some of the kids were jumping off.
ReplyDeleteHi vita your camp sounds awesome as well and I hope you had a great time. Was the water cold? What was your favorite part and did you see any fish?
